Day Tour – Drakensberg and Bushmen Rock Art

This tour is for guests who are fit enough for a fairly strenuous walk

07h30 – Breakfast

08h00 to 08h30 – Background “Briefing” on Bushmen history/culture and geology of the Drakensberg

09h00 – Depart for Kamberg Rock Art Centre;

10h00 to 13h30 – Arrive at Kamberg and view video presentation followed by walk to the Bushmen Cave

13h30 to 14h15 – Picnic lunch at the Kamberg Reserve

14h15 – Depart for the Crane Sanctuary

14h45 to 15h15 – Short guided tour to view all 3 species of endangered cranes and hear about the conservation program

15h15 to 16h30 – Drive along Drakensberg escarpment and return to accommodation via Mooi River. [Short tour of the township if required]

(An option for this tour is to make an earlier start and have lunch on the deck at the Giant’s Castle Reserve)
